In January of 1993 Lori S. put an ad in a local San Francisco paper seeking bass and drums to create a very large and low end sound that fit well with Lori's ultra distorted lower than low end guitar. After several months in search of a drummer and getting frustrated, Lori was at a party and screamed out "anyone know any drummers?" Enter one Joey Osbourne whose Ritalin style drumming was just what Acid King was looking for.

Acid King's current lineup has just finished recording and will release 3 new songs for Man's Ruin which will be released on a split CD with New Orleans' rockers Mystick Krewe of Clearlight. A three week tour of the Midwest and East Coast is in the works with label mates High on Fire.
When the King returns they will concentrate on new material for another full length to be recorded on Man's Ruin and scheduled to be released in June 2001.
