The first show for the
Plus Ones was Jan. 6, 1999 at The
Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. Many familiar faces were in the
crowd, welcoming the new band to the scene. One of the members of
Limp announced on stage: "Cute Band Alert!" That represented
the good mood.
The Plus Ones performed some fun and unusual covers (for example,
"Like a Virgin") along with the originals. A few of Joel's
song titles: "I Bet You Say That to All the Boys," "Natalie,
Please!," "It's Hard Being a Girl." The band closed
with "Duh."
