Tea Leaf Green is southern fried rock
ala the Allman Brothers or Widespread Panic. This Bay Area quartet
has made a name for themselves by exploring the sonic landscape of jam-rock
music, laying down thumping bass, brilliant jams and sublime melodies that
is reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix. And the comparisons dont end there.
The guitar stylings of Josh Clark feel like a tribute to Jeff Beck or John
Scofield, and Trevor Garrod, who sings most of the lead vocals, lays down
the intricate keyboard parts to create a definitive expression of their
own vision. This talented band is at the forefront of the regeneration of
lyrical rock, completely fusing jams that don't lose the listener, with
sensible lyric-driven rock and roll that set the collective apart from the
rest of the pack. Their recently released album, Midnight on the Reservoir,
has earned critical acclaim and has turned many into devoted followers of
Tea Leaf Green.
With the same raw power of a young Phish, Tea Leaf Green is the good time,
good music band youve been missing. This band is so much fun to see
live they wont be a secret for long. Dont be fooled by the name...
Tea Leaf Green aint for sippin, theyre for slurpin.
