From the East Bay - ATTENTION ALL EAST BAY-ERS: PLEASE click on this link regarding Bay Bridge construction that may be going on in the near future - this WILL affect your trip over, so be informed!
Cross the Bay Bridge to San Francisco. Follow
the signs for the Mission Street exit (after the 9th Street/Civic
Center exit). Take the right lane of the Mission Street exit. Turn
right at the foot of the exit ramp, cross over to the left lane
and turn left at the first signal onto Van Ness Avenue. Follow Van
Ness Ave. for approximately one mile. Turn right onto O'Farrell
Street and drive 1 1/2 blocks to the Great American Music Hall (on
your right).
From the North Bay
Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take the
Lombard Street exit. Stay on Lombard until you get to Van Ness Avenue.
Turn right onto Van Ness. Go down Van Ness to O'Farrell Street.
Turn left onto O'Farrell and go 1 1/2 blocks.
From the South Bay (and the airport)
Take 101 North to San Francisco. At the
"Y," take the left branch (the right one heads towards the Bay Bridge)
and follow the signs for the Mission Street exit. Take the right
lane of the Mission Street exit. Turn right at the foot of the exit
ramp, cross over to the left lane and turn left onto Van Ness Avenue.
Follow Van Ness Avenue for approximately one mile. Turn right on
O'Farrell Street and drive 1 1/2 blocks to the Great American Music
Hall (on your right).

Get off at the Civic Center Station. Walk
out the 8th Street exit. Walk towards City Hall on Grove Street
three blocks to Polk. Make a right on Polk and walk up approx. six
blocks to O'Farrell. The Great American Music Hall will be on your
right.
By Bus
The 38 Geary bus towards downtown stops
on the corner of Polk and O'Farrell, one door before the Great American
Music Hall. The 38 Geary going towards the avenues stops at the
corner of Van Ness and Geary. Walk one block down the hill on Van
Ness and make a left on O'Farrell. The Great American Music Hall
is 1 1/2 blocks down on your right.
By Taxi
Approximately $5 from Union Square and points
downtown. The Great American Music Hall is on O'Farrell between
Polk and Larkin Streets.
